Job Duties/Responsibilities

  • Supervise estimating department including managing the estimating team, work schedules, and bid deadlines. 
  • Has the ability to manage and track multiple bids at one time.
  • Reviews design documents and specifications for accurate pricing.
  • Estimate costs of materials, labor, and use of equipment required for a project.
  • Prepares estimates with the proper level of detail for all design stages.
  • Evaluate subcontractors and supplier bids against project requirements.
  • Present and explain project take-offs to management and clients.
  • Write proposal documents to clients to submit with bid documents.
  • Generate value engineering ideas to present to management to assist in bidding and pre-construction activities.
  • Work with the pre-construction team to transfer information from successful bid to field mobilization.
  • Assist in pre-construction activities including preliminary schedule, subcontractor review, supplier buy prices, and material/labor requirements.

Job Requirements

  • 15+ years of experience in electrical estimating.
  • 3+ years of experience as a team lead
  • Good written and verbal communications.
  • Works well in a team environment.

Job Duties/Responsibilities

  • Assist in estimating new projects.
  • Review project documents including scope of work, time lines, specifications, and drawings.
  • Create construction schedules with man-power loading through pre-construction meetings and job estimate.
  • Update construction schedule by monitoring daily activities at job site.
  • Attend progress meetings with customers as the Company Representative.
  • Organize and create Quality Control/Quality Assurance documents per specifications.
  • Review Time-sheets and manpower forecasts throughout project duration.
  • Submit Requests for Interpretation for any job related concerns with design or field conditions.
  • Comply with company safety standards and practices to promote safety in the workplace.

Job Requirements

  • 3-4 years of experience in construction, project management, or electrical engineering.
  • Good written and verbal communications.
  • Works well in a team environment.
  • Willing to travel to multiple worksites.

Job Preferred Skills

  • Previously experience in construction industry is a plus.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Strong attention to detail.
